Night Is Falling
Fires raging thru our country, floods destroy our crops and lands
Wild winds falling from the heavens, dashing countless hopes and plans
Look around you night is falling, light has fading from our day
As fearful men we grope in darkness, when we need to kneel and pray
Murders in our inner cities, claim more lives than all our wars
Places where we butcher babies, sanctioned behind hells closed doors.
We the strong the brave the bold, who raise our flag up to the sky,
Turn away our eyes from seeing; close our ears to silent cries
Corruption in the highest places, men with blood upon their hands
Tearing down the Ten Commandments, building houses on the sand
Servants riding upon horses, princes walking on the ground
Evolution elevated; truth is trampled to the ground.
Look around you night is falling, light has fading from our day
As fearful men we grope in darkness, when we need to kneel and pray
Youth and childhood desecrated, tolerance now is in demand.
If it feels good to you, do it, stick your head into the sand.
Consequences not considered for the choices that we make
Repercussions devastations total ruin we will take.
Hollywood has no discretion, innocence has lost her crown
Sex and violence lifted higher tearing family marriage down
Mega churches beg for money; members living in defeat.
Divorce extortion soaring higher, than they do down on the street
Stormy clouds that hold no water, wandering stars that give no light
Raging waves upon the sea shores, cursed children of the night
Filthy dreamers claiming visions, foaming out their putrid shame
Belching gangsters preach for money, gentiles curse the precious name.
Look around you night is falling, light has fading from our day
As fearful men we grope in darkness, when we need to kneel and pray.
